Lucy and Louise at The Barns Hotel, Cannock. 30th July 2017. Back to The Barns again, over the years The Barns has to be one of the venues that come up time and time again, so they must be doing something right. For me as a photographer it always seems relaxed and there is no pressure to get your shots done and rush the guests in for the wedding breakfast.

This was ideal for Lucy and Louise as they were both relaxed and I don’t think that they or any of the guests would have let anything stress them today.

So a big thank you to Lucy and Louise, and all of their guests for making me feel welcome on their big day.

Joanne and John at Bishton Hall, Wolseley Bridge. 29th July 2017. I had only ever been to Bishton Hall for a wedding Fayre and didn’t get an opportunity to have a look through the ground so it was a pleasant surprise when I finally got to have a walk round. Despite being a school Bishton Hall is a great setting for a wedding, and I think that Joanne and John’s guests enjoyed relaxing in the grounds in particular the lads playing football.

Still I left Joanne and John as the speeches finished and was set to return to photograph the first dance, but when I got back to Bishton they were just finishing the meal. Now most weddings would have had a wedding breakfast consisting of a soup for starters, roast for main and some pudding, not Joanne and John. Starter was poppadoms with raita, and for main two different curries.

And so to the first dance, forget the DJ these guys started the night of with a first dance to a live band. So here are a few photos that started off as a straight forward wedding but definitely had a few twists throughout the day.
