It was a cold, sunny afternoon at Lichfield Registry Office
for Georgina and Chris but that’s better than the rain that had come down
earlier in the day. Chris arrived with Daniel his “best man” dressed in suits
from Kevin Paul that were to perfection as you would expect from Kevin. There
appeared to be no nerves at all from Chris so after a few quick photos he
headed off into the Registry office to await his bride. Georgina arrive exactly
on time thanks to Tim at Special Day Services, and with his usual sense of
humour Georgina seemed relaxed and a little excited about it all. The Registry
office seemed to be running a little late so I took the opportunity to get a
few extra photos of Georgina in her dress from Katies Brides and flowers form
Blossoms in Hednesford. The ceremony room has been recently extended and now
there is more room for not only guests but I was allowed to photograph during
the ceremony. That was a first at Lichfield in all the years that I been doing
weddings. After brief ceremony but long enough for Chris to get a little
emotional any longer and I think he may actually have shed a tear, it was out
into Beacon Park for some family photos. As we were in Lichfield weg took the
opportunity to go round the corner to Lichfield Cathedral for a few photos. It was
well worth popping round the corner as well as the sun shone on the cathedral
with a warm glow, and the sky was a vivid blue littered with a few bits of
cloud like someone had stuck bits of candy floss to the sky. I have to say that
it was Georgina and Chris’s idea to pop round to the cathedral for photos and
it was well worth the extra few minutes, and it gave me the chance to do a few
new shots.
Congratulation to the new Mr & Mrs Jukes.
