Natalie and Brett at Pendrell Hall, 17th April 2014-04-30

Today was the first wedding for Picture Box at Pendrell Hall and it has to be said it is a lovely setting for a wedding, Ben and Sarah have got another great venue on their hands.

Natalie and Brett took advantage of one of the special Mid Week Offers that we have available, and I took advantage of the weather (a dry day), a great venue and a relaxed couple to get some great shots for them.

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Hill.

Sarah and Robert at The Ashes, Endon 10th April 2014

I was looking forward top today’s wedding at The Ashes as it been a while since I was last there, and the last time there was quite a few inches of snow and a bitter wind blowing. Today there was a light breeze and no snow just a few clouds. As for today’s couple Sarah and Robert, well when I got to The Ashes she was full of excitement, think there was a few glasses of bubbly going round with the girls. Robert on the other hand was not looking forward to having his photo taken at all, but thanks to a quick sip from his hip flask the shots were taken and I think he was ok with it to be honest. He was a bit nervous though as the ceremony got closer.

Once Robert and all the guests had taken their seats for the ceremony it was time for Sarah to make her entrance. After a quick check by the page boy and flower girl to make sure everyone had take their seats Sarah made her way across the courtyard helped by her bridesmaids. Sarah was in a dress from Mix nMatch in Rugeley and finished off with a big smile and a sense of excitement. As she made her into the ceremony barn and down the aisle I think the nerves really kicked in for Robert and possibly a bit emotional as well, but he managed to hold back the tears.

The Ashes is a great setting for photos with loads of different areas to use so once the small family shots were done, it was off into the grounds for a few picks while their friends and family enjoyed a drink, a chat and just relaxing for a bit. A few shots on the lawn, up to the lake, and then back to the courtyard for a few more with the guests. Despite Robert’s dislike of having photos taken both him and Sarah were great to photograph, and were up for a few new shots. The time flew by really quick and it was time for the wedding breakfast, just wish we had a bit more time today but still it was a good day for me as a photographer, but a really great day for Sarah and Robert. I’d just like to say thank you to all of their guests and a really big thank you to Sarah and Robert, it was a pleasure being part of your special day.

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Palmer

Georgina and Chris at Lichfield Registry Office 22nd March 2014.

It was a cold, sunny afternoon at Lichfield Registry Office for Georgina and Chris but that’s better than the rain that had come down earlier in the day. Chris arrived with Daniel his “best man” dressed in suits from Kevin Paul that were to perfection as you would expect from Kevin. There appeared to be no nerves at all from Chris so after a few quick photos he headed off into the Registry office to await his bride. Georgina arrive exactly on time thanks to Tim at Special Day Services, and with his usual sense of humour Georgina seemed relaxed and a little excited about it all. The Registry office seemed to be running a little late so I took the opportunity to get a few extra photos of Georgina in her dress from Katies Brides and flowers form Blossoms in Hednesford. The ceremony room has been recently extended and now there is more room for not only guests but I was allowed to photograph during the ceremony. That was a first at Lichfield in all the years that I been doing weddings. After brief ceremony but long enough for Chris to get a little emotional any longer and I think he may actually have shed a tear, it was out into Beacon Park for some family photos. As we were in Lichfield weg took the opportunity to go round the corner to Lichfield Cathedral for a few photos. It was well worth popping round the corner as well as the sun shone on the cathedral with a warm glow, and the sky was a vivid blue littered with a few bits of cloud like someone had stuck bits of candy floss to the sky. I have to say that it was Georgina and Chris’s idea to pop round to the cathedral for photos and it was well worth the extra few minutes, and it gave me the chance to do a few new shots.

Congratulation to the new Mr & Mrs Jukes.
