Saturday’s wedding was a battle against the clock, but today’s wedding was going to be a battle with the weather. When I got to St Josephs it was a bit grey and bit wet, not that this seemed to put off any of the guests as they arrived. Kelvin and the lads didn’t seem bothered by it either when they arrived. After a quick adjustment to some of the cravats and the addition of the button holes they were ready. All Kelvin had to do was relax and wait for the bride.

It’s always nice to see a few familiar faces at a wedding, and today’s was no exception. Turns today’s video is being done by Brad, met a couple of years back at his cousins wedding, and then when the bridesmaids turned up driven by Paul from Platinum Wedding Cars there was, Abi known for a few years from when her mum used to do hats, and then Kate, first met her too many years ago at her sister’s wedding and at a few weddings since, always the bridesmaid but I’m sure soon to be a bride.

The girls huddled in the door of St Josephs out of the rain as Paul pulled the Austin Princess (immaculate once again), in front of the church. Sarah looking stunning in a dress from White Rose in Rugeley and flowers from Blossoms in Hednesford, could literally step out of the car and into the church.

St Josephs is a great church to photograph in as it is not only quite bright inside but you can get some different shot from the side not just at the back like most churches. By the time the ceremony was over and we all left the church not only had the rain stopped but it had also warmed up a bit but no sun yet. A few shots by the door with Sarah and Kelvin and then it time to head up to Weston Hall in Stafford, twice this week. After a few shot of Sarah and Kelvin with their guests and sneaking in a couple of new shots it was time for the wedding breakfast, and time for me to head off.

Cynthia and David at Weston Hall Stafford. 26th April 2014.

It has been a while since the last wedding that Picture Box shot at Weston Hall and not much has changed on the outside but the inside has had a complete revamp and now looks like a completely different  venue.

I left the Cynthia and the girls still getting ready at The Hatherton as the time looked like it was starting to get a bit tight. Not for David and his best man Tony though. When I got to Weston Hall they and the guests were ready and waiting, and then bridesmaids soon arrived. Then we all had to wait for Cynthia. Sometime later (not too sure how long though) Cynthia arrived in style driven by Platinum Wedding Cars,  and in a dress by Maggie Sottero from GoBridal in Birmingham.

After a short ceremony it was out on to the terrace and a few drinks and photos. It being a bit cloudy earlier the sun finally decided to come out and shine on the guests. Photos and drinks over, wedding breakfast, speeches (inc Bridesmaids speech !!) done then the only thing left to do was enjoy the evening,  with music and singing provided by Cliff from Nothern Exposure.

Samantha and Andrew at Pendrell Hall, 24th April 2014.

Back to Pendrell Hall again for Picture Box with todays wedding. Samantha and Andrew had put their stamp on todays wedding with butterflies dotted around the ceremony room. The girls had made themselves at home in the “Love is Enough” suite with the dresses from Kiss XX Bridal, neatly hanging at one end, but more hair and make up products than you can imagine at the other. Hair and make up done bridesmaid Claire had an idea for a quick photo, bride and bridesmaids sitting on the bed having a quick glass of champagne which soon became the three of them jumping up and down on the bed like some naughty kids.

Andrew and the lads arrived smartly dressed in suits form Kevin Paul and in good humour, and not trying to jump on anything. Before long it was time for Andrew and the guests to make their way into the ceremony. Whilst all the guests were waiting for Samantha and the girls to make a graceful entrance, when what they didn’t know was Claire (again) was trying to slide down the banister, still she behaved once the music had started. 

The ceremony over and it was time for confetti, normally the happy couple get covered in small bits of paper that float gently down, don’t ask me which guest it was but in amongst the confetti was a small wicker basket. Luckily there were no injuries so it was off for a few photos in the grounds, a few drinks and time to relax before the wedding breakfast.
