An early start for today’s wedding but the sun was shining when I left Great Wyrley so I knew it was going to be a good day, and Blakelands has some great areas for photos.

All seemed to be going according to plan, hair and makeup done, Sophie and the girls were dressed so I did a few shots of Sophie ready to leave and then I headed off to the church. When I got there it was a bit quiet and Mark was nowhere to be seen so I headed off to the pub where the guests were parking their cars and Mark and the best man were completely unaware of the time enjoying a drink with the guests. So I got him to head over to the church, I wasn’t going to be the one that told Sophie to just go round the block as the groom hasn’t turned up yet.

Despite Mark’s time keeping, Sophie arrived with the girls and the ceremony went ahead on time. Ceremony over with no mistakes on the vows and no tears from Mark it was out and down to the gate for some confetti before the guests headed back off to Blakelands for a drink while Sophie and Mark had a few photos by the church door. These photos done we all headed off to Blakelands, now I know that it’s not that far from the church in a car but when you have a suit on and it’s a warm day it is a bit of a walk, so I couldn’t just drive past some of the guests that did think it would be a good idea to walk.

Once at Blakelands and a few drinks had been enjoyed by the guests in the grounds, it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches which went without any awkward moments, no jokes about even the cake being in tears.

Despite if finally raining on the night, Sophie and Mark looked stunning and had a great day, the guests all enjoyed themselves. So a big thank you to Sophie and Mark for letting me be a part of their big day.

The day started off with some photos of Ian and the lads getting ready, and pretty much straight away it was apparent that today was going to be a relaxed and humorous day. As for Sarah and the girls, well when I got to The Moat House it all seemed very relaxed and the bridesmaid’s hair and makeup was well underway.

Once the girls were all ready it was time for me to head off to the church to get some shots of Ian and the lads outside the church, this is normally were the day starts to get a little bit more serious however when I got to St James Ian and the best men were drinking some champagne in the car park like it was a day at the races for them, but they soon got down to business and photos done in they went before the girls arrived. Sarah arrived in style in the Morris from Platinum Cars and just at the right time, between a couple of rain showers.

I was hoping that the grey clouds outside would blow over and not try to spoil their special day, and they did. So once the ceremony was done, everyone headed off to The Moat Hose for a few drinks and some photos in the grounds. The Moat House has some great spots for photos, you just have to watch out for the swans as they don’t like you to get too close. Don’t worry I got some action shot of them.

Despite the swan incident Sarah, Ian and their guests had a great day in a great setting so thank you to all of them for making my day easier and a big thank you to Sarah and Ian for letting me be a part of their special day.
