Charlotte and Kevin at Hilton Hall, Essington and The Barns Hotel, Huntington 1st June 2013.

This is the first wedding for Picture Box at Hilton Hall. Ironic really as it’s one of the closest venues to us. Charlotte and Kevin had a great setting for their wedding. As the guests arrived the sun came out, and eventually Kevin turned up a bit late but he got there before Charlotte arrived on time as you would expect with Platinum Wedding Cars from Hednesford. She looked stunning, in her dress from Curio Bridal Boutique in Smethwick. After the ceremony it was into the grounds for some photos, and then a quick stop for a great photo opportunity at the old greenhouse that is a hidden treasure in the grounds. It was then off to The Barns Hotel for some drinks, great food, speeches and a night of dancing. Charlotte and Kevin had a great day for their wedding, it was a pleasure to be part of your special day, congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Varty.

Carrie and Richard at The Barns Hotel, Huntington 10th May 2013.

I don’t think I have seen quite so much detail and effort I decorating The Barns for their big day, from vintage typewriters, birdcages, bunting,  signs instructing you to “bop til you drop” but also “no dad dancing”, and even an old fashioned market stall with sweets from A Little Bit of Blighty. It must have took Carrie and Richard ages to organise it all, but it paid off The Barns looked great, and so did Carrie in her dress from Sheena Shaw Bridal, and Richard in his suit from Greenwoods, but not to be out done little Erin gave them a good run for their money. The day went without a hitch even if Richard was a little late in his surprise taxi cab. Think he just wanted to make the most of being chauffeured around. The sun shone and the guests definitely made the most of an afternoon celebrating with a few drinks and the bride and groom, I think I can safely say a good day was had by all.

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Hinton.

There was no way that the weather was going to spoil today for Nina and David, and they looked great in a dress from Mi Amor in Sutton and suits from Katies Brides and Grooms in Heath Hayes, and as for the bridesmaids and ushers they didn’t look too bad either. The rain came down whilst we were in the church, and the guests had to make a quick dash to the cars. By the time we got to Oak Farm Hotel for the reception the guests were relaxing in the gardens with a drink under an almost clear blue sky.

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Mason.

Jackie and Paul had the perfect weather for a trip to Drayton Manor, but first it was off to St James in Norton Canes to get married. They both looked great and with the sun staying out they couldn’t have wished for a better day.

I knew it was going to be a long day as Jenny and Peter had booked the Ultimate Storybook package starting with photos at VIP Hair and finishing with the Photo Guest Book at the reception down the M5 at Redhouse Barn. It was good to see so many familiar faces, previous brides, grooms, ushers, bridesmaids, and guest from weddings I have photographed over the years.

What a difference a week makes, this time last week it was snowing, and today the sun was shining even though there was still some snow on the ground at the church when the lads arrived in their top hats and tails. Quickly followed by Jenny and the girls. Jenny looking great in her dress from Ivory Tower, and the girls from Mix n Match.

After the ceremony it was of to Redhouse Barn, for canapes and photos. It was nice after the drive to get out in the garden and get some shots of Jenny and Peter having a few moments to relax, and practice their first dance on the decking before heading back inside for the meal, and some the great cake from Sally Cook.

The evening was a busy one for the Photo Guest Book, and yet more familiar faces turned out for the evening, and danced the night away.

I’d just like to say thank you to everyone that made it such an enjoyable day, and congratulations to the new MR & Mrs Lewis.
