Picture Box has only been to Christ Church, Gentleshaw a couple of times and its one of a handful of churches that still have plenty of grounds to do some family photos before the guests head off to the reception and then vanish into the bar.

The sun was shinning today even though it was a bit chilly and damp on the ground, but this didn’t seem to bother any of the guests as they arrived. I think Chris was a bit nervous though as they arrived, but I’m sure he did his best to stay calm as he waited for Rachel to arrive, and when she did it was in style in one of the Austins from Platinum Cars, and looked stunning in a dress from Rebecca Elizabeth in Brownhills. The ceremony went without any tears from either Rachel or Chris, and then it was staright out into the grounds for few family shots and then we all headed off to Rodbaston Hall.

Its also been a while since Picture Box has been to Rodbaston Hall for a wedding. As a photographer there is nothing better than turning up at a venue with a list of where you want to photograph and yet still find a few bits of unexpected inspiration from the venue, and the ground at Rodbaston  Hall are great just a we didn’t get to a visit from the peacocks. Still everyone had a good day and congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Hansen.

Today’s wedding started with some shots of Sarah as she prepared for the big day at Oak Farm Hotel in Cannock, and she was very relaxed, no nerves at all. Then it was over to St Andrews Church in Bentley to meet Ben and the lads and again there didn’t seem to be any nerves there either. Once all the guests had arrived it was time for Sarah’s arrival, and she did on time and in style, in an Austin Princess Limousine from Platinum Cars in Hednesford, and looked stunning in a dress from White Rose in Rugeley.

Time for a few quick pics of the girls before the ceremony and normally at this point I’ve either got the Vicar or church official telling me to hurry along but today was different. Got the girls together and just as I was about to take the shot, it was photo bombed by the Vicar!!! Well that was a first for me don’t know about him though.

Back to normal and inside for the ceremony. At this point I think the nerves had started to finally get to Sarah as she did get a little emotional as her Dad led her down the aisle.

By the time we got to Oak Farm Hotel the sun was blazing down and there was a bright blue sky, with just a few cotton wool looking clouds, making a great setting for some car shots. Then it was time to head into the gardens for a few more pics of Ben and Sarah, their family and friends.

The room at Oak Farm had been decorated with a bit of a vintage theme and looked great, with wooden table centres, little wood hearts on the tables, Hessian cutlery holders and more. The room was then filled by the guests and it was time for the wedding breakfast and the dreaded speeches.

A big thank you to all of Sarah and Ben’s family and friends for making me feel welcome and congratulation to the new Mr & Mrs Lawrence.

The last time and the first time I had photographed a wedding at St Lawrence’s church was about a year ago for Maria and Arron’s  friends, Stephen and Tracey. Maria arrived on time at the church, which was great as today had to run with precision timing as there was another wedding straight after Maria and Arron’s. Still however got the groups done and some great photos of them done at the church before heading off to the reception. Todays reception was a little different to most, in all the time I’ve been photographing weddings today’s was the first where Mickey and Minnie made a grand entrance with the Bride and Groom.

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Perry.
