Claire and Oliver at St Nicholas Church, Abbots Bromley and Hoar Cross Hall Hotel and Spa. 30th March 2018.

St Nicholas Church in Abbotts Bromley gives you that impression on a very traditional church as you approach it and walk through the door, but once inside if you turn round there is what can only be described as a massive piece of modern art positioned over the main door. As for Claire and Oliver well in I first met Claire at Brocton Hall Golf Club and she definitely seemed like a enthusiastic bride, and over the next year or so since she booked me we have met a few times and she is always smiling and laughing, Oliver has seemed so relaxed whenever I have met him. So I was hoping that they wouldn’t have let any nerves get in the way of this, and I wasn’t disappointed. Claire was relaxed and I don’t think that anything would have stressed her today, Oliver just seemed his usual relaxed self despite going into Birmingham last night to see 30 Seconds to Mars and I think more than a few drinks. Things at the church today had to be on time as there was a service straight after Claire and Oliver’s so it was straight down to business and a few quick shots before the ceremony, then straight in and once the ceremony was over it was off to Hoar Cross Hall for a few more pics and some bubbly for the guests, and a bowl of water for Chester their dog. Chester was ring bearer for the day and stayed all day through the meal into the evening. So a big thank you to Claire and Oliver for letting me be a part of your day, and here a few photos from the day.

I’ve known Katie and Shane for a few years now as Kate’s cousin runs Platinum Wedding Cars, and Shane sometimes drive for them. So today was definitely like doing a friend’s wedding, and with Paul and his family as guests there was more than a few comments about “how long photographers take” and “you don’t get this with…”, but it was all light hearted.

I think Kate and Shane picked a great church and venue for big day in Hoar Cross, and on a day like today with the sun shining and only the odd cloud in the sky it was like a text book wedding that had been planned with precision, without a shadow of a doubt by Katie but I’m sure Shane did his bit towards the day.

It is always nice to do weddings were you feel that you are not just there to work and today was most definitely one of those weddings. So a big thank you to all of their family and friends that made me feel welcome and it’s nice to know that even when the guys from Platinum are attending a wedding as guests they can still find time to try and play me up.
