There was no way that the weather was going to spoil today for Nina and David, and they looked great in a dress from Mi Amor in Sutton and suits from Katies Brides and Grooms in Heath Hayes, and as for the bridesmaids and ushers they didn’t look too bad either. The rain came down whilst we were in the church, and the guests had to make a quick dash to the cars. By the time we got to Oak Farm Hotel for the reception the guests were relaxing in the gardens with a drink under an almost clear blue sky.

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Mason.

Jackie and Paul had the perfect weather for a trip to Drayton Manor, but first it was off to St James in Norton Canes to get married. They both looked great and with the sun staying out they couldn’t have wished for a better day.

I knew it was going to be a long day as Jenny and Peter had booked the Ultimate Storybook package starting with photos at VIP Hair and finishing with the Photo Guest Book at the reception down the M5 at Redhouse Barn. It was good to see so many familiar faces, previous brides, grooms, ushers, bridesmaids, and guest from weddings I have photographed over the years.

What a difference a week makes, this time last week it was snowing, and today the sun was shining even though there was still some snow on the ground at the church when the lads arrived in their top hats and tails. Quickly followed by Jenny and the girls. Jenny looking great in her dress from Ivory Tower, and the girls from Mix n Match.

After the ceremony it was of to Redhouse Barn, for canapes and photos. It was nice after the drive to get out in the garden and get some shots of Jenny and Peter having a few moments to relax, and practice their first dance on the decking before heading back inside for the meal, and some the great cake from Sally Cook.

The evening was a busy one for the Photo Guest Book, and yet more familiar faces turned out for the evening, and danced the night away.

I’d just like to say thank you to everyone that made it such an enjoyable day, and congratulations to the new MR & Mrs Lewis.

I thought we had seen the last of the snow as we had now got towards the end of March, but no such luck. The weather didn’t seem to bother Matt and the lads as they arrived leaving me and the videographer Richard outside to in the cold waiting for Carys and the girls to arrive. We didn’t have to wait for long before Carys arrived with the help of Paul from Platinum Wedding Cars. Carys styled in an elegant dress from Formal Elegance, and a button bouquet from Summer Pudding literally ran down the path to the church to escape the cold. After facing the cold once more for confetti I think that everyone was looking forward to getting to the stylish and warm Somerford Hall for the reception. The day was finished of with all the guests putting on a few silly wigs and hats for the Photo Guest Book, there was also some fancy footwork on the dance floor from all including video man Richard.……

I've known Adam for some years but always as Adam from Blaze Disco so it made a change to see him out from behind his DJ equipment and all dressed up for the day. Vicki however I've only got to know over the last year or so since they asked me to photograph their special day.

The weather was perfect and the so was the newly refurbished The School House, the lads all looked smart in their suits from Jon Paul, the girls looked great and Vicki looked stunning in her dress from Treasure the Day, finished off with flowers from Lynn at Fine Flowers.

It was a great day with only one little hiccup, Dan (Vicki's brother) had to run off in the middle of  the ceremony as he forgot to pick up his reading much to everyone's amusement, the magician Matthew Stirling was a genius and amazed everyone even with his arm in a sling and topped off by Adam's speech and song, yes song. He sang Your Song by Elton John to finish his speech, don't think the best man knew how to follow that. This is definitely one wedding that I along with everybody else will remember for a long time.
