Katie and Adam at Hawkesyard Hall Estate, 3rd May 2014.

I always look forward to coming to Hawkesyard Hall whether its for a wedding or a wedding fayre as it is such a nice setting and on a day like today with the sun doing its best and not a cloud in the sky you couldn’t hope for more.

When I got to Hawkesyard Hall Katie and the girls were busy with hair and makeup in the bridal suite, along with more than a few glasses of bubbly. Katie had seemed quite calm when we met on the pre wedding meeting but if there was a Picture Box Awards ceremony at the end of the year I think Katie may be a nominee for “The most excited Bride on the day”. Adam on the other hand was definitely one of the most nervous grooms that I have met.

Although being nervous Adam remained composed as the bridesmaids and an emotional and tearful Katie entered the ceremony room. After a short ceremony without anymore tears from Katie it was off outside to enjoy the gardens and a bit of welcome sunshine. Some of the guests simply relaxed with a drink, whilst the others amused themselves with a game of oversized Jenga. Mr & Mrs Fullagar headed off down into the gardens for some photos. Hawkesyard Hall is great as there are so many bits that can be used for photos.

As much as I could have carried on photographing Katie and Adam it was time to head down to the reception. Mandy from Make My WeddingSpecial had done a great job on the ceremony room but it has to be said that she had done a fabulous job on the reception room, colourful is an understatement. Room shots done, cake shots done and it was time for me to leave.  A big thank you to all of Katie & Adam and all their family and friends for making the day enjoyable, and a big thank you as well to Andrew and all the staff at Hawkesyard Hall I’m looking forward to the next wedding there.

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Fullagar.

Sarah and Kelvin at St Joseph and St Etheldreda Catholic Church & Weston Hall Stafford, 1st May 2014

Saturday’s wedding was a battle against the clock, but today’s wedding was going to be a battle with the weather. When I got to St Josephs it was a bit grey and bit wet, not that this seemed to put off any of the guests as they arrived. Kelvin and the lads didn’t seem bothered by it either when they arrived. After a quick adjustment to some of the cravats and the addition of the button holes they were ready. All Kelvin had to do was relax and wait for the bride.

It’s always nice to see a few familiar faces at a wedding, and today’s was no exception. Turns today’s video is being done by Brad, met a couple of years back at his cousins wedding, and then when the bridesmaids turned up driven by Paul from Platinum Wedding Cars there was, Abi known for a few years from when her mum used to do hats, and then Kate, first met her too many years ago at her sister’s wedding and at a few weddings since, always the bridesmaid but I’m sure soon to be a bride.

The girls huddled in the door of St Josephs out of the rain as Paul pulled the Austin Princess (immaculate once again), in front of the church. Sarah looking stunning in a dress from White Rose in Rugeley and flowers from Blossoms in Hednesford, could literally step out of the car and into the church.

St Josephs is a great church to photograph in as it is not only quite bright inside but you can get some different shot from the side not just at the back like most churches. By the time the ceremony was over and we all left the church not only had the rain stopped but it had also warmed up a bit but no sun yet. A few shots by the door with Sarah and Kelvin and then it time to head up to Weston Hall in Stafford, twice this week. After a few shot of Sarah and Kelvin with their guests and sneaking in a couple of new shots it was time for the wedding breakfast, and time for me to head off.

Congratulation to the new Mr & Mrs Edwards.
