I first met Lisa and Stewart quite a few years ago at
Stewarts brother Wayne’s wedding, and since done portraits for the family and
have always made to feel welcome and more like a friend than just a
photographer paid to do a job. So I was really looking forward to today’s
wedding, and was well prepared for a few jokes.
The lads turned up and on time, and I couldn’t work out if Stewart
was nervous or not but if he was it didn’t show. Got the photos done, and sent
him off in to St Peters to get ready for Lisa and the girls. It wasn’t long
before Lisa arrived in a Rolls Royce from Elegance Cars in Sutton, and in a
dress from Adele Louise in Wolverhampton. A few quick photos and then it was in
for the ceremony.
The ceremony done and time for a few photos in the church
grounds and a break from the guests throwing confetti and giving them horse
shoes. I got the photos done and it was time to head off to The Fairlawns for
the group shots and a well deserved drink before the wedding breakfast, and
best man Wayne’s speech. I don’t think that Stewart will be forgetting this
speech any time soon now all the guests know a few little secrets from Stewart’s
past. Just don’t mention Sudocrem, or Bescot market to Stewart.
For the evening Lisa and Stewart had booked the Photo GuestBook, to collect the thought and wishes of their guests and, the guests to take
home a pic from the day, but the highlight of the evening has to be the first
dance. This has had to have taken weeks of practice to get right, I’m sure
there must be a video of it somewhere on social media.
Today has been one of those weddings that I will remember for
a long time and big thank you to the Hartshorne’s and Jones for making me feel
like part of the family.
