Katie and Alex at The Ramada North, Cannock. 4th January 2014. The New Year has only just started and its back to work with the first wedding of the year. I first meet Katie and Alex a couple of years ago at his sister’s wedding, so it was nice to start this years weddings of with a few familiar faces.

The day started with the lads turning up smartly dressed in suits from Peter Posh, and then Katie and the girls stunning in dresses from Brides of Solihull. The ceremony room looked great decorated by Eventi Eleganti. I think the ceremony went according to plan as I don’t think that their son making them laugh, and giving them toy farm animals mid ceremony counts. After the ceremony it was time for some photos of Katie and Alex, although it was a bit damp and grey outside we headed off to get them taken. Once the photos were done it was time to head up to the Sky Lounge for the wedding breakfast. When I say head up to the Sky Lounge I mean get in the lift, unfortunately the lift only seemed to go up two floors then came back down, so it was plan b. Once Katie and Alex had got up to the 12^th floor the lift worked fine for the guests so the wedding breakfast all went ahead on time.

Zoe and Nigel at All Saints Church Bloxwich and Oak Farm Hotel Cannock 28th September 2013.

Last week I was at a new venue, this week it was back to a church that I did loads of weddings at when first started all those years ago, and a hotel which has become a firm favourite. Nigel and the lads had their suits from Duncan James and I think they must have left a big gap in the shop as there were twelve lads in suits. Zoe on the other hand only had three bridesmaids and one flower girl. Zoe and the girls all looked stunning in dresses from TheWedding House. The ceremony went by without any incidents and was a relaxed service which I’m sure helped them with any nerves they may have had. After the ceremony it was on to the grass for some family shots, confetti, and some bride and groom photos. All Saints has got a nice big arched door which is great for pics. Before long it was time for Zoe and Nigel to get in the car and head up to Oak Farm for their wedding breakfast, a few drinks and lots of dancing on the night.

Sam and Ross at The Mount Hotel, Tettenhall Wood, 20th July 2013

Despite Ross’s pre wedding accident it didn’t seem to affect him on his big day. Then with the lads he’d chosen as his best man and ushers they weren’t going to let it. Sam seemed completely calm as she prepared, and as for Jess, well she just laughed at everything and anything. 

Once at The Mount the lads didn’t let up, as they continued to playing each other up. Ross although quietly nervous remained calm as Sam was escorted the gardens at The Mount by her proud Dad on a lovely sunny day. As for Jess she let the emotion of the ceremony get the better of her and stopped laughing for a short while for some tears.

Sam and Ross’s guest couldn’t have had a nicer day and location to take it easy and have a drink while we got a few shots of bride and groom, before the evening reception.

Before the evening reception and Photo Guest Book Sam and Ross headed out into the gardens to have a quick practice for their first dance.
